Microchip number
The 15-digit number from your pet's implant card or your vet's records. You'll need this when filling in your pet's details after booking.
Your pet has been vaccinated against rabies
Your pet must have a current, in-date rabies vaccination. Your vet holds the records — we contact them on your behalf.
Vaccination is over 21 days old
The appointment must be at least 21 days after the rabies jab. A recently vaccinated pet cannot travel yet.
Your vet's contact details
We email your vet to request vaccination records for the certificate, so have their practice name and email ready.
Dog, cat or ferret
These are the only species covered for EU travel under Regulation 576/2013. Other pets cannot be certified.
Travelling within 10 days of your appointment
The Animal Health Certificate is valid for 10 days from the examination date — book your appointment close to your travel date.
